Atlona Technologies Release Wireless USB to HDMI or VGA Adapter

Last week, Marmitek released what they consider to be the first wireless HD transmitter. This week Atlona Technologies announced the release of a wireless USB to HDMI or VGA adapter, AT-HDAiR. This device uses a transmitter that easily plugs into any USB port. The receiver is a base station that comes with an HDMI and a VGA output, which can be used to power two displays at the same time. Unfortunately, this transmitter can not support full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution content, but it can support the lesser 720p HD signals as well as any resolution up to a SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution. The wireless adapter is compatible with Windows XP and Vista and is currently available through the company’s website. It will retail for just under $200. [via Home Toys ]
