BenQ GP1 Projector Coming Soon in UK

After a very long wait, BenQ is finally releasing their GP1 projector. The only problem is that the release is only scheduled for the UK right now. The GP1 is the company’s first LED pocket projector. This model features 100 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and a SVGA (858 x 600) resolution. Out of all the pocket it is the smallest of its kind, measuring only 4.7″ x 2.0″ x 5.1″ (W x H x D) and weighing only 1.4 lbs. The incredible small size is partially due to the connection port, which only has one universal port and a USB slot. The company includes an octopus style cable, which includes both a composite and a VGA connection. BenQ is also offering an optional iPod docking station for a little extra. The GP1 comes with a 2 watt speaker system that is loud enough for small business rooms or classrooms. The LED lamp system can also last up to 20000 hours, which virtually eliminates the need for lamp maintenance. The GP1 will be officially available at the beginning of June, but can already see it on the BenQ website. The projector will retail for £499 ($787). [via Pocket Lint ]
