Are you tired of waiting for a projector phone to be developed? Well this DIY-er couldn’t which is why he designed his own projector that is controlled by a standard iPhone. The projector consists of 42 red lasers that are positioned in a grid panel. The iPhone has a user display that allows the user to touch white dots to turn them red and also turn on the correlating laser. A user can also punch specific letters from a keyboard and the laser projector will display the letters in the order they were keyed in. This system can only display simple letters and images right now images, but with further development this DIY device could be used to control larger laser grids and can create portable marquees. Video of the projector in action can by found by clicking the link below. [via Engadget ]
