Ever wished you could go back in time and play pool with some of the silver screen greats like James Dean and Elvis? The owners of this theater did the next best thing when they decided to turn their entire game room into a dedicated home theater. The space has three major areas; the pool hall, theater, and game room. The pool hall features an antique looking pool table that can also be used for ping-pong. On the wall is a hand painted life sized mural of old time celebrities playing right next to you. The game room features a poker table and several free standing video games, like the ones you’d find at the theater. This room also has an equally large mural of more movie greats like John Wayne, Clark Gable, and Gene Kelly. As you move into the theater you first notice the two rows of plush red leather seats. The 119” screen is covered by automated curtains, just like the old days. Because the room is very colorful, the owners wanted a projector that could display remarkable colors, which is why they went with the Sony VPL-VW60 . This model features 900 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 35000:1 contrast ratio. To finish off the project, the owners had a ticket booth with a light up marquee built in the hall way to help give their friends and family the feeling that they are entering a full sized theater.
