NEC is one of the many companies that are displaying new devices at InfoComm in Las Vegas. Today, the company announces that they have developed the world’s brightest LED-based projector. The model doesn’t actually have a name yet, but it is able to display 2000 ANSI lumens. The projector uses RGB LEDs for a lamp. LEDs are proven to be better than conventional lamps in many ways. Some of the benefits include less energy consumed, mercury-free design, and lasts longer. Up until recently, the only drawback was that LEDs were not bright enough for normally lit business rooms. However with further development it will only be a matter of time before LEDs replace old halogen lamps as the common lamp system. [via Tech On ]
